Mr. Pincock, is a graduate of University of Edinburgh. He has a successful track record across 3 continents, now based in Bangkok for 11 years managing food and beverage business. He has been instrumental in the success of the Bangkok Leisure Group – where he is now the Managing Partner. An engaging hospitality professional, he has been primarily developing and driving the growth of his F&B group. A firm believer in hands on management, he has been developing strong bonds of trust and responsibility within the workplace. Started his career in New York with Hampshire Hotel & Resorts, he then went on managing his family hotel business covering all aspects of hospitality operations. Thereafter he had a short stint with Tesco UK as commercial operation executive before moving to South East Asia. He has successfully established 5 western-themed pool bars, wine bars, fish & chip restaurant as well as its related supply-chain operations. He is well versed with the Asian culture of doing business as well as with promoting western brands in the local market.
Mr Abd Hadi bin Abd Majid, an MBA graduate, has sixteen years of hands on experience in merchant banking, with his last post as the General Manger of Capital Markets and Corporate Banking Department of Bumiputra Merchant Bankers Berhad (“BMB”). He has been in various committees of merchant banking services such as Management Committee, Credit Committee and Audit Committee of the Bank. His Capital Markets experiences and exposure includes reviewing public listing proposals, company take over and mergers, underwriting of new share issue, underwriting for Bonds issue and investment portfolio of the bank. In his direct capacity as the head of the Capital Markets and Corporate Banking Department of BMB, the portfolios he raised and managed are on direct loan basis and arranging for various forms of structured funds raising exercise via syndicated loans, club-deals, married deals, private debt securities namely RUF, NIF, MTNs and BG for Bonds issues. He is now the Director and Chairman of VCB Group of Companies.
Mr. Groat has worked for many years as a consultant to companies in technology, natural resources, and general commerce. Previously, following an early career with PwC in London, he held CFO, COO, and CEO roles in established corporations including Executive Chairman Med Mining and Minerals Ltd; Finance Director, London Mining plc & Platinum Mining Corporation of India plc; and Group FD and COO of E C Harris LLP. Took on first NED role with the old Milk Marketing Board in 2005 and led the move to change it to Community Foods Group, a supplier of health food and free trade products (dried fruits, chocolate, etc) to all major UK supermarkets. Malcolm currently serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Baronsmead VCT 4 plc and London Mining plc. Mr. Groat is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He holds degrees from the universities of St Andrews in modern history and politics (MA) and Warwick (MBA). Currently also spending one day a week as FD of microcap AIM company, Tekcapital.
